Last of the 2010 TOUR

Well, the 2010 tour has come, and gone. Lance finished his last one, well out of contention, and with little or no thought to supporting others GC ambitions (read: where the hell was lance in support of levi ?).... but with no real drama this year, gotta say it was a good one.... other than the Bert-gate.... where Bert needs to be taught a lesson in racing etiquette.... but other than that.... cya 2010 Tour, hey 2011 Tour... we're ready for ya :-)



Bert and Andy are apparently at peace with each other.... gotta wonder if Andy is gonna remember this year quite as fondly as he could have....

And Mark Cavendish ends the tour with another sprint win.... not sure why he's not in green in Paris.... believe he will be on the sprinters podium though

Ok, so the title for this days listing sucks... but can't think of a better one.... with todays pic being one of Cav looking back at everyone else, like he's the only one that decided to sprint :-)

Well... it looks like Bert will have 3 tour wins when the peloton rolls into Paris on sunday... (the can go back to bad mouthing everything french for another year)....

And now for todays commentary... Theres one great unwritten rule in the pro-peloton... You don't attach flats, mechanicals, and crashes... meaning, when your rival has a bit of lousy luck, you don't attack... you don't need to stop either, but you easy pedal until the guy gets back, then attack.... Bert attacking Andy when his chain dropped was a BAD BAD BAD thing to do...

Well... after having no tour coverage for two whole days....

When I first scrolled to this pic, all I saw was the face of a cow... and I thought.... "ah, Nancy Reagan is in france".... no, wasnt that.... the explanation.... they're owned by a frenchman.... enough said, no? Oui (barf)

Not sure what the general idea on this one was, but looks nice

I believe this to be another Boardman bike...

And for the 'ugly but available'.... The Hypercycle... frame construction right up there with Schwinn varsity's, handling manners of a shopping cart, and for the period when they came out, very unusual. I owned one of these, that had to be highly modified right from the start. One thing about this thing, it got ALOT of stares.
